What does your beginner class 101 include?
The Mahjong beginner class 101 is designed for people who have little to no experience or exposure to the game. The class will break down the NMJL card (included in registration), understanding patterns between the card and tiles, the start of the game including the Charleston, and finally a full game(s). The class is interactive throughout each section. (I will provide all game related materials)
What does your beginner class 102 include?
The beginner 102 class is a continuation of the 101 class. You don't need to attend the 101 class in order to attend the 102 class. This class is for those with some exposure to American Mahjong but need reminders on the flow of the game, rules, interpretation of the card, and developing your hand. We will start of with interactive drills on card interpretation and move into playing with added beginner strategy. (I will provide all game related materials)
What should I expect during an "open play" session?
Open play is designed for people of all backgrounds and experience levels to come together and enjoy playing the game of Mahjong. This is where you test your knowledge of the game and implement strategy. This type of play DOES NOT include instruction. If you need instruction, check out my beginner 101/102 classes. (I will provide all game related materials. YOU MUST BRING YOUR 2026 NMJL CARD)
What is included in a Private Mahjong Beginner Class
The private beginner class is designed to be taught at a location of your choosing (home, office, etc.) with friends/family/co-workers. You will get all the benefits of the beginner 101 class. Contact me for questions/coordination. (I will provide all game related materials)
